MICHAEL HANNWACKER (Florida Office)
Mr. Hannwacker brings over 20 years of diverse hands on operations experience. He has in depth experience as a CEO of distressed companies as well as extensive operations, and start-up experience. He has consulted with, worked with or managed companies in manufacturing, service, distribution, contracting and Internet industries. He is a co-founder of Business CPR, a turnaround and workout management firm.
Prior to the formation of Business CPR, Mr. Hannwacker was CEO of Florida Desk Group, Inc, a regional manufacturer and distributor of office furniture. He was also CEO of Sunny Manufacturing, a manufacturer and Internet marketer of children’s furniture. In addition he was CEO of Castle Island Capital Corporation, a leveraged buyout boutique acquiring distressed and under performing businesses. He has started 4 companies, completed 3 acquisitions and been directly involved in 2 mergers. He was regional manger for Medical Management International where he had full P&L accountability for 10 animal hospital startups and grew it to a top performing territory in the nation in less than 2 1/2 years. He received numerous awards for operational excellence and quality assurance.
Mr. Hannwacker is a proven results-oriented organizational leader and strategist with experience setting strategic direction, initiating growth strategies, executing to plan, fine-tuning operations, and marketing to customer demand. He is a creative troubleshooter and talented at diagnosing root causes of problems and developing creative solutions to remedy them. He has implemented process improvement and Just-In-Time manufacturing solutions in a variety of settings.
His area of expertise is helping under-performing companies in operational and financial crisis. He has worked with or operated a variety of businesses all in a crisis mode.
He is skilled in all aspects of crisis management including; leadership, lender relations, negotiations with creditors, suppliers, employees, and owners. His background includes restructuring business operations, debt renegotiation, creditor workouts, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcy, identifying “value-added” strategies, including operational and cost efficiencies, win/win exit strategies and renegotiating secured and unsecured debt.
He has been engaged by clients to provide interim management and consulting services, strategic, operational and financial reviews, business plans and investment analyses. He has experience with both debtors and creditors.
Mr. Hannwacker received his M.V.B. degree in 1979 from Trinity College Dublin. Mr. Hannwacker has lectured at Cornell University. He is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association, Florida Chapter and Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association. His most recent senior level leadership training was with Personnel Decisions Inc, PAR Inc, Dale Carnegie and the AMA course for Presidents.
